Welcome:) I am a clinical psychologist dedicated to empowering my clients to access their inner wisdom and innate healing capacity to overcome challenges and live fulfilling lives. With compassion at the center, I offer personalized care and support to help you navigate through difficult times as opportunities for growth. I will help you envision and engage in a life you choose. I invite you to join me on this journey of discovery, healing and transformation.
My Approach
Creating a warm, heart-centered space in which to grow together is at the center of my practice. Compassion-based techniques and especially encouraging self-compassion is always a primary orientation.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience working with adults, couples, teens/children, and families in a variety of clinic, hospital, and private practice settings. Together we will co-create the goals for our work, and determine a pathway forward that incorporates a holistic framework. This includes considering the emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual well-being of each client. I have extensive experience in working with trauma, with a specialty in sexual abuse, domestic violence, grief, mood disorders, children/teens, divorce/ blended families, and intergenerational attachment wounds.
My perspective is eco-systemic and the individual is considered within the systems they interact with, in an evolutionary framework. I regularly incorporate systemic models such as Internal Family Systems as well as Buddhist and somatic-based psychology, EMDR, mindfulness, and compassion practices into my clinical work. In addition, I am a trained teacher and offer the Mindful Self-Compassion course (founded by Drs. Chris Germer & Kristen Neff) Significantly, I maintain a spiritual lens and believe deeply in the innate wisdom available within each of us to guide, heal and transform. In addition to teaching Mindful Self-Compassion courses and workshops, I have a private practice and offer telehealth nationally and internationally
