Learn tools to develop self-compassion and strengthen the compassionate inner voice as a primary navigator of you life.  Self-compassion research has been linked to several significant benefits for psychological well-being and overall functioning:

1. Self-compassion is strongly associated with greater happiness, optimism, curiosity, and life satisfaction.

2. Reduced negative mental states: Higher levels of self-compassion are linked to decreased anxiety, depression, rumination, and fear of failure.

3. Enhanced resilience: Self-compassionate individuals are better able to cope with stressful life events, including divorce, health crises, academic failure, and even combat trauma.

4. Improved motivation and personal growth: Contrary to concerns that self-compassion might lead to complacency, research shows it is associated with greater personal initiative to make needed changes in one's life. Self-compassionate people are more likely to adopt mastery goals for learning and have increased motivation to learn and grow.

5. Better physical health behaviors: Self-compassionate individuals engage in healthier behaviors such as exercising, eating well, drinking less alcohol, and visiting the doctor more regularly.

6. Stronger relationships: Self-compassion is associated with more stable feelings of self-worth over time and offers protection against social comparison and public self-consciousness.

Learn to use compassion-based mindfulness techniques and understand Buddhist  teachings to gain insight, reslience and healing. These practices can assist with mood regulation, overall sense of well-being and social connections. Specifically, these approaches can be very helpful with parenting and/or couples relationships.

Using a range of trauma informed and somatic approaches such as EMDR & IFS, learn to integrate your traumatic experiences in a healing and growthful way.  Integrate your past, access reslient parts of yourself and create new ones that help you evolve in nourishing ways.
